Vacation Bible School ~ A Radical Ride on the Wings of Prayer

Campers took off on “A Radical Ride on the Wings of Prayer” at this year’s Vacation Bible School located on the OLOM School Campus. Campers soared through awesome lessons about prayer and how to put it into action. Each day presented a stop in a new country that included a virtue of the day, Bible verse, and Saint of the Day tied into the day’s theme. Campers started each day with an assembly, then stops to different stations such as music; snack; faith; crafts; and games.

Our parish extends special appreciation to VBS leader and faithful Mercy parishioner, Michelle Trahan. Along with Michelle, a team of dedicated volunteers and junior volunteers led each group and station. We are thankful for these
faith-filled volunteers: Andrae Hebert (snack leader); Andrea Hulse (faith leader); Tori LaBelle (games); Jenn Romero (crafts); Danielle Laird and Molly Toups (music); Bethanie Willmann; Sarah Carriere; Annie Broussard; Celeste Valluzo; Caroline Scholl; Anne Platte; Jeanne Scallan; Misty Evans; Courtney Campbell; Kathy Lummen (small group leaders); and Lauren DeWitt (emcee).
