The Trail to Eagle

Earning the rank of Eagle Scout through Boy Scouts of America is the highest honor a scout can achieve. Since its inception in 1912, over 2.5 million young men have earned this award. An Eagle Scout must first reach the level of Life Scout before being eligible to fulfill the requirements it takes to earn the rank of Eagle. Three Mercy Parishioners have recently completed the required prerequisites and achieved this honorable title.

At this year’s ceremony, a special guest addressed the scouts via zoom. Our Lady of Mercy Church Sacristan and the fourth Eagle Scout (1064) from Troop 12, Mr. Fred Gwin gave the Eagle Charge and Oath.
