Mercy Alive

VOL. 39 NO. 30

“I will sing of your mercy forever, Lord proclaim your faithfulness through all ages.”  (Psalm 89:1)

If you like to sing or play an instrument and would like to assist our parish worship in a special way, now is the best time of year for joining any of our four wonderful ensembles. All choirs are eager to reach out and make new members feel at home.

Chancel Choir & Schola

The Chancel Choir is in residence for every 10:30 am Mass during the year from mid-August through the Feast of Corpus Christi. The choir presents an annual Advent Concert the Third Sunday of Advent and a special Christmas Program preceding the Midnight Mass. The choir’s repertoire covers the entire range of traditional Catholic liturgical music. Our chamber choir, the Mercy Schola, often sings for special liturgies and events such as the Easter Vigil, Divine Mercy Sunday and other services throughout the year. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 beginning August 24th.

Life Teen Choir

The Life Teen Music Ministry provides a mix of contemporary Christian worship songs and traditional Catholic liturgical music at the Sunday 6:00 pm Life Teen Mass twice a month beginning August 14th. The group practices the first Tuesday of every month from 7:30-9:30 pm. Those interested of high school age and above are welcome to join! Registration is available online,

Sanctuary Bells

We are seeking adults or high school students who are interested in this unique way of praising God and adding a special touch to our Music Ministry. Ringers should be able to read music or have previous experience with ringing bells or in a singing choir. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm and the Bells play for special feast days and occasions.
