Looking for a much needed date night but don’t want to venture too far from the house? Join us for a special evening designed for married couples to be enriched and strengthened in their vocation of marriage. Supper & Substance provides an occasion for married couples to have an evening out together while enjoying a delicious meal and witnessing an encouraging presentation on marriage as well as building and strengthening fellowship with other couples that may be walking along similar paths and sharing similar experiences. This is a wonderful opportunity for spouses to meet with other couples in our parish and listen to an inspiring presentation.
Our featured guest speaker for the evening is Dr. Mario Sacasa. Dr. Sacasa is a Catholic Christian husband and father, which is his primary vocation and passion. He is happily married to his wife of 19 years, Kristin, and together they share the joy of parenting their four sons. In his professional life, he practices private counseling in New Orleans, LA. He is also the Associate Director of Willwoods Faith and Marriage. At Willwoods, he offers lectures, retreats, contributes regularly to their blog, and hosts a bi-weekly podcast, Always Hope with Dr. Mario.
Dr. Sacasa enjoys writing and has delivered numerous lectures on the topics of married life, human sexuality, and Catholic integration into clinical practice. He has over ten years of counseling experience, where he has made a career of integrating the riches of the Catholic Faith with sound counseling practices.
In all of his various professional outlets, he tries to bring hope to the real struggles of life. He is happy to share what he has learned in order to help people make sense of their suffering. With grace all things are possible (Matt 19:26).
