SUPPER & SUBSTANCE

VOL. 39 NO. 3

Looking for a date night but don’t want to fight the crowds on Valentine’s Day? Join us for a special evening designed for married couples to be enriched and strengthened in their vocation of marriage. This is a wonderful opportunity for spouses to meet with other couples in our parish, enjoy delicious dinner, and listen to an inspiring presentation.

Supper & Substance provides an occasion for married couples to have an evening out together while enjoying a delicious meal and witnessing an encouraging presentation on marriage as well as building and strengthening fellowship with other couples that may be walking along similar paths, and sharing similar experiences.

Our featured guest speakers for the evening are, David and Kate Dawson. Married in 2007 with five children under the age of 7, the Dawsons fully entrust their joys, fears, and obstacles in raising a young family to God. David, the Director of the Family Life Apostolate of the Archdiocese of New Orleans and his wife Kate, a stay at home mom who is putting her Master’s Degree in early childhood development to great use through homeschooling, suggest that young parents should take advantage of every resource at their disposal. Although raising a young growing family on one salary can lead to a bumpy road at times, the couple suggests using the resources around you such as family, friends, and especially prayer for guidance through those stressful situations. Learn more about this dynamic duo and how they maintain a loving marriage, spiritual and mental well-being, and how to help other young families in our community at our upcoming date night – Supper and Substance.

Join us for this romantic, uplifting event on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2016 at 6:30 pm in the PARISH ACTIVITY CENTER. Registration is open on our website: www.olomchurch.com. The cost for the evening is $40 per couple.
