RCIA – RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS

Do you wonder what it’s like to receive the Eucharist as your spouse or friends receive it?

Are you curious about the traditions of the Catholic Faith?

Does it seem that Catholicism is a better fit for your faith journey?

Are you baptized Catholic wishing to receive Eucharist and Confirmation?

Do you know someone who seems interested in Catholicism?

We will address these questions for you here at Mercy through our educational and liturgical process called RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). It’s for all persons (adults and older adolescents) with no religious background or of another religion, who are looking to find out more about the Catholic Church. Come and check us out at our informational meeting on Monday September 9th at 6:30 pm in the Parish Activity Center!

What is RCIA?
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is designed for adults who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. By God’s help they will be strengthened spiritually during their preparation, and at the proper time will receive the sacraments fruitfully.
