The Garden of Peace and Memorial Columbarium provides a sacred and beautiful place for the inurnment of cremains in accordance with the Church’s instructions.
As cremation continues to increase in popularity, the need to bury the ashes of cremated individuals is also increasing. The Garden of Peace will be a peaceful and prayerful site on the campus of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church to serve as an eternal resting place for our beloved deceased.
As you plan for your family’s future needs, consider the option of cremation and burial at the Garden of Peace Memorial Columbarium. We hope to answer many of your questions on this site, but would love to discuss the Columbarium with you on the phone or in person. Schedule your appointment today!
To reserve a room or space please contact Ms. Michelle Schroeder at 225-928-6216.
One of the great spiritual gift of Our Lady of Mercy Parish is perpetual adoration of the Eucharist. This “ministry of prayer” is possible only through the generous commitment of hundreds of committed adorers who come in prayer one hour each week before the Eucharistic Lord.
If you are not currently a committed adorer but are interested in the possibility of becoming one, please complete the form below. One of our Adoration Chapel Coordinators will contact you to answer questions and help you find an appropriate hour.

The dedication of our chapel community allows the Blessed Sacrament to be available for adoration 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exception of Holy Week closures and emergency weather closures.
