Advent Family Celebration ~ Let Our Inner Light Shine

Saturday, December 7
4:00 – 7:00 pm
Our Lady of Mercy

Merry Mercy: SHARE OUR LIGHT – is a celebration in anticipation of the birth of Jesus Christ; a celebration of the Gospel call to first serve the least among us in His name. A portion of the proceeds from Merry Mercy will benefit the most needy in our community. Added to this year’s celebration is a service opportunity through our new Mercy Ministry, the Hands and Hearts of Mercy. Collection bins will be available at Merry Mercy to collect gently used or new shoes and gloves for those in need. The gloves will be distributed to the St. Vincent de Paul Men and Women’s Shelter and the shoes to Cameron’s Shoes Foundation.

In anticipation of this great event, our hope is that you will help support our light by signing up to participate in one of the many volunteer opportunities or consider supporting this great event through a sponsorship opportunity. Available sponsorships include, Light Up the Night (firework show); Eat Drink & Be Merry (family seating and dining); Photos with St. Nicholas; Polar Express Train; St. Nick’s Workshop (crafts for the little ones); Merry Movie (Polar Express); and Flying Angels (jump for joy on the inflatables). If you would like to purchase a sponsorship opportunity, please contact Ms. Ana Froelich at ana.froelich@olomchurh.com. To learn more about the event, purchase t-shirts and advanced tickets, or to sign up to volunteer,  please visit merrymercy.com.

Please note that we have made a very concentrated effort to scrub the Mercy budget eliminating unnecessary expenditures and focusing on the gym balance reduction. As part of that conservative posture this year, we will NOT  be lighting the beautiful Mercy Oaks for Christmas. It is a more prudent use of our resources to put that expense towards the new gym. So if you want your light to shine – I want to encourage you to support “Top Off Traditions for Tomorrow.” With a humble heart, I ask you to join our efforts to reduce our gym balance.

So come on out to Merry Mercy and join us for a great evening of family fun!
