OLOM Distinguished Graduate
During this year’s Catholic Schools Week, the Diocese will honor distinguished alumni from each school and recognize the outstanding individuals at a beautiful reception and awards ceremony.
Our Lady of Mercy is pleased to announce our honoree, Dr. Kacie Lummen Sims. Dr. Sims graduated from Our Lady of Mercy School in 1996. Kacie L. Sims, MD, received her medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Dr. Sims also completed Fellowship training in pediatric hematology/ oncology at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. She is Board Certified in pediatrics. She is currently employed by Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital at the following locations: St. Jude Affiliate Clinic Baton Rouge and Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Sims lives in Baton Rouge with her husband Bryan and their four children – Camille, Judah, Asher, and Selah, all of who attend Our Lady of Mercy School.
